Configuring Best Match Account

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. Type Custom Metadata Type in the Quick Search bar and select it.
  3. Select Manage Records against Fullcast Setting
  4. On the next window, select Edit on Fullcast Setting
  5. Enable the checkbox on Lead Trigger Flag. This enables the Trigger, Best Match Account Check, and Domain Related functionality on the Lead Object.

Field Mapping for Best Match Account

This Setup is used to

  • match a Lead to an Account (Best Match Account) 
  • and set up the criterion which is needed to do the matching.

Below are the steps to set up field mapping for Best Match Account:

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. Type Custom Metadata Type in the Quick Search bar and select it.
  3. Select Manage Records against Fullcast Policy Rules
  4. On the next window, select the New button.
  5. Enter Field 1 Object as - Lead
  6. Enter Field 2 Object as - Account
  7. Field1 and Field2 are fields on Lead and Account respectively
  8. The Operator field is used to provide a range of operators - Equal to, Greater Than, Less Than, Contains, Not Equals, etc.
  9. The Order field is used to provide the order of precedence. 

How many Custom Metadata?

We can have more than one Custom Metadata for the matching criteria to find the Best Match Account for a Lead.
If the account domain is one of the best match fields to match a lead then follow instructions under the Account Routing section to enable the domain feature on the account object.
